PHILOSOPHY

Nursing College Believes that:

Modern nursing is a dynamic therapeutic and educated process in meeting the health needs of the individuals, the family and the community. It is one of the health professions which functions in conjunction with other health care agencies in assisting individuals, families and communities to achieve and maintain desirable standards. As propounded by the World Health Organization (WHO), Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely an absence of disease and infirmity.

Nurses provide a large part of health care, It is imperative that their training should equip them with professional expertise to meet the changing demands of society and their expanding role. Also to recognize that the nature of nursing is of substantial significance for learning of the students both in theoretical and clinical instructions.

  • The Nursing Courses (M.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, G.N.M) should be planned around the nursing care need of the society as well as the educational needs and personal development of nursing students.
  • The Primary focus of the educational program is to prepare the students nurses for professional nursing practices in all fields.
  • The faculty of nursing college accepts the responsibility of helping the students to adjust to new situations and provides them with the opportunities, which contribute towards development of the students as a person, responsible citizen and complete practitioner.
